Warehouse Receiver

Purpose

Warehouse Receivers ensure a smooth and accurate inventory warehouse process for our vendors and for the store. Warehouse Receivers report to the Store Director or MOD.

Work Environment

Work will primarily be performed in a warehouse environment, though may have minimal contact with the retail floor, as well as coolers and departments with exposed raw foods.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds safely.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational abilities.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions quickly.
  • Willingness to be open to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

Store Operations

  • Maintain an orderly flow of product moving through the warehouse, ensuring accurate an efficient product deliveries.
  • Communicate with department representatives regarding inventory and incoming shipments.
  • Prepare the receiving dock for incoming orders and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Verify product with purchase orders.
  • Track, sort, and distribute shipments as needed.
  • Manage the inventory of shipping supplies and materials.
  • Maintain and fully complete temperature logs for downstairs coolers and freezers.
  • Check, organize and make copies of all checked in invoices and relay copies to department managers.
  • Report any inconsistencies/defects of invoices or orders/products to department managers as soon as noticed.
  • Practice quality control consistently and daily with all inventory received.

Safety

  • Ensure that department shelves, work areas and storage areas are in clean and orderly condition.
  • Be in compliance with safety practices and procedures, both throughout the store and within the department.
  • Remain up to date on all certifications required for power equipment.

Other

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Store Director or MOD.
