Elm City Market strives to advocate for the importance of health and wellness and inclusive sustainability in our community. We are proud to be a sponsor and partner of Rock to Rock and uplift organizations that help to care for Greater New Haven. 

For the past 15 years, Rock to Rock has hosted a wildly successful ride for the climate and on April 29, 2023, over 500 attendees turned out for the metric century (60 miles), 40-mile, 20-mile, 12-mile, East Rock base-to-summit ride, two-mile family rides, and to hike around the base of East Rock, with 40 volunteers, 20 partner organizations, and more than $210,000 raise to support taking action in response to the present and future climate emergency. 

Within only a short time, Rock to Rock has raised more than $2 million to support local environmental work. This money has funded the planting of thousands of street trees, sustaining and growing more than 50 urban greenspaces and community gardens, created over 1,000 green jobs for young New Haven people, made a city-wide culture of cycling, thanks to the installation of bike shares, bike recycling, bike lanes, and cycling celebrations, and so much more.
